About a year ago I set up the project Transformations together Viewbook, aiming to explore changes and support photography in a digitally connected world. We have been publishing series of guest articles, done interviews and a set up a grant. Now we are in the process of compiling the content collected in a digital publication.
But Transformations is transforming too, I have now teamed up with my lovely former World Press Photo education colleagues Eefje Ludwig, Frederiek Biemans and Reem Saouma and we are continuing with Transformations as an independent project.
The aim for in 2017-2018 is to stimulate critical reflection and debate on the state of photography and defining the need of tomorrow’s photographers. This is done through a series of brainstorms. The first one took place at Les Rencontres d’Arles in June, a summary can be read here.
